CMA CGM has announced a new feeder service, the Baltic Express, which was launched in the fourth week of the year.
This service is designed to provide efficient and reliable shipping solutions by connecting Finland and Latvia through Poland’s port of Gdansk. The Baltic Express is expected to offer enhanced frequency and reliability with a dedicated weekly shuttle linking the three European countries.
The French carrier said Gdansk serves as an efficient transshipment hub, enabling connections with CMA CGM loops to and from Asia and links to Kotka and Riga for the intra-European market.
Additionally, the service aims to offer competitive transit times for shipments to and from key locations such as China, Singapore, Port Klang, and Busan.
The first voyage of the Baltic Express began from Gdansk on 20 January with the boxship JSP Mistral. The next scheduled departures are from Gdansk on 27 January, from Kotka on 30 January, and from Riga on 1 February.
