Sri Lanka to call investors for Colombo West Terminal II within month
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka will call expression of interest from investors for West Terminal II within one month, President Anura Dissanayake said presenting a budget for 2025.
Sri Lanka will also seek investment for Colombo north port, he said.
Sri Lanka planned to expand the maritime economy and port activities.
A dry port was planned to expand logistics he said.
Sri Lanka has already started a study on extending the break water for West Terminal II.
The Asian Development Bank is supporting the activities.
Colombo West Terminal I built by Adani and John Keells Holdings is to open shortly.
